Creativity is not about doing mad things: the most creative to use existing material and organise it in a slightly different way to make something entirely new. That’s when we get called creative. Sometimes it’s just saying what one thinks – but it’s often the fear of what someone else says which prevent it.
So the secret is to remember what it was like when we were so young that our thinking was no contaminated by our perception of reality.
We all still have it.
In the courses I run for executives I get back to the simple: it’s the simplest ideas which are often the best – but they are so simple that sometimes people don’t believe it.
